The Faculty's Associate Dean (Research) facilitates the growth and financial viability of world-class research activities across the Faculty, as well as the growth and viability of interactions with industry, government and the wider community in ways which significantly contribute to the Faculty's research outcomes.

The Associate Dean (Research) is supported in this role by the Faculty Research Committee, which is chaired by the Associate Dean. The Associate Dean (Research) and the Faculty Research Committee advise the Executive Dean on the allocation of funds made available to the Faculty by the University for research purposes.
