Membership in the AJS-Qld Inc (Brisbane)  is open to all individuals, companies and organisations interested in Australia and Japan relations.

The Society engages in a wide range of activities in pursuit of its aim to promote common interest and mutual understanding in all matters between Australia and Japan.

The Society maintains close liaison and cooperation with local and state government bodies, academic institutions, commercial organisations, the Japan Consul-General in Queensland, the Embassy of Japan (Canberra), the Australia-Japan Foundation, JETRO and other Japan-related organisations.

Support for the work of the AJS is derived from membership fees, contributions, grants and function activities.

The AJS is a non-profit organisation.
