Diwali (Deepavali) is called the festival of lights celebrated all over India and most parts of the world, signifying the victory of good over evil as per Indian mythology. FICQ has been celebrating the Diwali Festival in Brisbane since 2010, promoting harmony and multiculturalism. More than 15,000 people all over Brisbane and other parts of Queensland attend the event annually, signifying the success of the festival over the years.

Join Spanish Markets by Tassca for their first Spanish Markets full of amazing food, colours, clothes, pottery, music, art and more. The event is from 10am to 3pm on Sunday 20 October at the grounds of Radio 4EB Community Ethnic Radio in Kangaroo Point, Brisbane.

Pacific Fashion Festival, is back for its 6th show with a line up of Designers, Models and Entertainment from all over the Pacific. Designers from the Brisbane Local Multicultural community in Australia and across the Pacific collaborate to create a production to stimulate an appetite for Pacific fashion in the Australian market to the world. It is about fashion that is owned and produced by its indigenous peoples, which is vital for economic empowerment.

Bringing together the local clubs of Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia and Latvia the Scandinavian Festival offers an exciting range of culture, food & beverage, music and live entertainment.

Following the phenomenal success of the 2018 telling of a Dreamtime creation story of the river – seen by almost 500,000 people – this new local story will again be told by Yuggera and Toorbal man Shannon Ruska working with Oracle-Liquid.

The Night Noodle Markets will return to South Bank from July 24 – August 4 offering Brisbane the most exciting Asian Hawker food festival of the year.
